and translator of several books on Buddhism.
Beatrice Volt
Is a Tibetan language instructor at RYI and a contributor to the translation of classical Tibetan texts.
She has recently completed her MA Degree at the Centre for Buddhist Studies.
Catherine Dalton
Has been translating and teaching Tibetan at RYI since 2003 and directed several Summer Intensive Tibetan programs held at
RYI.She has recently completed her MA Degree at the Centre for Buddhist Studies.
Erik Hein Schmidt
Has lived in Nepal for more than three decades and is the translator of numerous books on Buddhism. He is the personal translator
of a number of Buddhist masters, the senior translator at RYI, and founder of Rangjung Yeshe Publications.
Heidi Koppl
Has been teaching and translating at RYI since 1997.She has authored and translated several books in English and German on
Buddhism and holds an MA degree in Tibetan Studies.
Hilary Herdman
Is an instructor of Tibetan language and Buddhist history and philosophy at RYI and a contributor to translations of
Buddhist philosophical works. She holds an MA degree in Buddhist Studies.
Joanne Larson
Has been a translator and instructor at RYI since 2002. She has contributed as an editor to translated works on Buddhist
philosophy and holds an MA degree in Buddhist Studies.
Matthew Stephesen
Has been studying at RYI since 2000. He has directed several Summer Intensive Tibetan programs held at RYI and,
in 2006 he joined the staff of translators.
Mattia Salvini
Has studied Buddhist texts in Sanskrit extensively and holds both BA and MA degrees in Sanskrit Studies and is currently
completing his Ph.D. in Study of Religions. He joined RYI in 2006 and heads the Sanskrit study section.
Thomas Doctor
Has been translating and teaching at RYI since 1997. He is the translator of several books on Buddhist philosophy
and holds an MA degree in Tibetan Studies.
